Please note the driveway is shared with other guests. Please excuse any inconvenience as we continue to improve the site by renovating an outbuilding in the back field. Please park opposite the front door without blocking the driveway. Unless you ask us not to, we will come to the house daily to check the chemical levels in the spa.

A Few Rules

  • We do not allow smoking inside the property or lighted candles.

  • The house is not connected to mains sewage and relies on a septic tank. Please do not put anything down the toilet except human waste and toilet paper.

  • You are welcome to exercise your pets in the garden but please clean up after them. If you have forgotten poo bags, there are spares in the utility room. Do not access the field behind the garden with a dog without prior consent as there may be sheep grazing.

  • Please enjoy the spa, but adhere to our spa rules. They are for your safety and enjoyment.

Heating

  • We use an Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) to keep the house warm. Controls are on the wall. It is most efficient to keep the temperature consistent.

  • The fire in the living room is a wood-burning stove.

  • Only using dry, seasoned wood to prevent excessive smoke and creosote buildup.

  • Never overload the stove with wood.

  • Keep flammable materials, furniture, or decorations at least one metre away from the stove.

  • Do not leave the stove unattended while burning.

Bins, Trash and Recycling
